Vehicle to be offered for Auction sale January 19th - 22nd, 2017 at Russo and Steele's 17th Annual Scottsdale Arizona Auction at the Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. Please contact us for more information. This 1964 Corvette B/Production Vintage racecar has logbooks dating to 1972, the first year the SCCA initiated logbooks. The car had extensive build work performed on it by "Mr. Corvette," Doug Rippie, who also drove it. Other notable drivers of this car include "Frenchie" Damper, Steve Strandemo and Doug Kelley. This car has recently competed at the 34th Annual Lime Rock Historics, where it ran in the top third of the field. This vintage Corvette is fully race ready, with current SCCA logbooks and an annual inspection. As evident in the logs, this car has been raced extensively over the years and it has an unbroken ownership chain and provenance. It is race-eligible across the United States with every race organization. The car is very well sorted and is 100% race ready. It comes complete with title and the VIN tag (VIN 40867S106048), as well as logbooks dating from 1972-present. This is an SVRA Medallion car, numbered 6-387 from the early Medallion program days. It is also eligible for the current updated Medallion Program. The car was restored in into 2010, including new paint, a Grand Sport-style dash, a new seat, new belts, new gauges, switch panel, and all new wiring. It has been run sparingly since then and has approximately 15 hours on the engine and gearbox.
