This custom 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback 2+2 was built as a Shelby GT 350 tribute. It has many appearance features of the GT350 but also has the benefit of modern safety and convenience features. The restoration was recently completed with new front and rear body quarter panels and new floor pans and all parts have a nice fit and finish. There is not a bit of rust anywhere. This is a high quality and professional paint job. The gleaming and deep black paint was just finished a few weeks ago and the charcoal stripes with the charcoal color and very subtle G.T. 350 call-outs sealed in durable clear coat add a nice elegance to the car. This one was restored to include the hood scoop, hood pins, and larger side air ducts which are icons from the years Shelby was building these out of his Los Angeles factory. All glass is new, and the new fiberglass GT hood fits nicely in its place. It has a 289ci engine dressed up with Cobra valve covers, automatic transmission with a center console, original Shelby intake, long tube headers feeding a new Flowmaster exhaust system, new Holley 4bbl carburetor, new water pump, new alternator, MSD ignition, new aluminum radiator with electric fan, power front disc brakes, and cold working Air Conditioning. The interior has the optional Pony premium package bucket seats and are in excellent condition along with the door panels, carpet and headliner. The rear seat folds down for added convenience. The gauges are from Velocity, the original correct AM radio is in place to keep the dash looking correct, but inside the glove box there is a high end head that connects to a sound system fed by two amplifiers in the trunk to give that high quality and powerful sound. Koni shocks were installed on the four corners to help improve the ride. LED brake lights and the front HID headlights are in place to give it the custom look along with the added safety and convenience benefit. The 17 inch American racing wheels and tires are new. The front bumpers were blacked out which definitely gives this car a unique and custom appearance. In the rear trunk is the subwoofer and two amplifiers nicely finished in leather panels.
