For Sale: 1972 GMC C/K 10 in Concord, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

Confidence is cool, and patina shows a self-assurance that is red-hot right now. But joining this crowd doesn't have to mean giving up creature comforts. In fact, a second glance at this 1972 GMC C10 reveals a full custom that's so fresh, there's less than 900 miles on the build. And beyond the tough appearance hides a ton of exciting modern conveniences, including an amazing A/C interior, updated chassis, air adjustable air ride suspension, and a 400+ hp LS fuel-injected V8.

This body is all about being secretly rewarding. It might look like it spent a lifetime being a workhorse, but what you're really looking at is super-straight new and restored sheetmetal. The green paint was purposely and professionally worn into a patina. You start to understand this truck's true nature when you look at the immaculate brightwork in the grille and bumpers, as well as the clear headlights and taillights. And there are some even more noticeable upgrades like the 20-inch US Mag wheels that become especially obvious when the air bag suspension is lowered to where these alloys can tuck into this custom build. Plus, there are a whole lot more subtle additions – from the dual gate truck bed to the Kendig-it Design custom flush door handles. You soon start to realize how thoughtful and complete this build really is, and that's before we show you the $105K in build receipts!

The moment you open the door, the line is immediately blurred between pickup truck and exotic luxury car. The quilted pattern on the supple leather seats will remind you of the best European craftsmen. So we know you'll be spending plenty of time running your hands along the matching door panels. This custom seating was created to be reminiscent of the factory bench, but the individualized comfort and flush mounted seat built cup holder console instantly let you know how special this really is. The tan carpeting features piping that matches the upholstery, and this is repeated on the headliner for a total uniform package. In the center of the dash are controls for the ice-cold air conditioning, and a Pioneer infotainment system that features AM/FM/XM reception, satellite navigation, iPod connection, and Bluetooth capability. But the best luxuries are reserved exclusively for the driver. You grab the three-spike wood and chrome steering wheel, and beyond that is a complete set of Dakota Digital gauges. And while we're sure you're a responsible luxury driver, we know you won't be able to resist having fun with the freight train-like air horn.

Under the hood is the real treat, because within the ultra-smooth fender walls lies a fuel-injected LS1 V8. The 5.7-liter has been rebuilt and enhanced with features such as an MSD Atomic EFI system, Texas Speed camshaft, and Sanderson headers. The total package is built to produce Corvette Z06-style performance, and around 400+ horsepower. So, you know the moment you turn the key on this custom built, the roar of the dual exhaust will tell everyone it's no barn find. To handle all this power, a 4L60E four-speed transmission was added that was specially rebuilt for a great everyday balance – including a shift kit for performance driving and overdrive for easy cruising. A pickup like this can bring some big power to the streets, and that's why the independent front suspension has been upgraded to tubular arms. Also, the rear has the comfortable trailing arms that make these GMCs so desirable. And yes, they are all full adjustable as part of the air ride system, so you can park this at you favorite car show and drop it all the way to the ground so it "lays body". Completing this driver-friendly feeling is a full Wilwood drilled and slotted four-wheel disc brake package, power steering, and the grip of Pirelli P-Zero tires.

Oh yeah, now you know why this is a six-figure creation, and you also know it's being offered huge discount over what it would cost to replicate this custom pickup. So don't delay, or this Z06 in GMC clothing might be gone. Call today!!
