Offered here is one of the coolest cars the 80’s produced: the 1986 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. Following the design of the Camaro, the 3rd Generation Firebirds were also lighter and shorter than the second gens, but provided some enhanced driving features. This example came from the factory in a 5-speed manual but newer 360ci V8 powerplant with Hooker headers and Edelbrock intake powers the car now. Although not 100% original, this is the car the 1980’s could have offered if not for the power regulations put in place by the government. Big engine, manual transmission, T-Tops, and red over red color combo – what else could you want in an 80’s sports car?
The car is finished factory Bright Red over the original Red and Gray cloth interior. It looks great inside and out (see all photos on main website: Garage Kept Motors). Other noteworthy features include period correct Formula wheels with new rubber, removable glass T-Tops, original interior, power windows, Firebird steering wheel, factory radio, power locking rear hatch, pop-up headlights and aftermarket 6-Disc CD player.
