For model years 1974/5 the factory marked the 25th year of Porsche sport cars - With a few significant changes for the 911, including a 2687cc engine with K-Jetronic CIS Bosch fuel injection and slightly reconfigured bodywork. The standard models retained beautiful narrow rear arches of the old 2.4L, while running a detuned version of the RS engine.

Originally sold new as a California market 911, 9115210836 was factory optioned with California Emissions, Light Alloy Wheels (Fuchs), Sport Shock Absorbers, Sport Seats, Folding Targa Top, Leather Covered Steering Wheel and 5-Spd Transmission wearing Copper Brown Metallic paint over Cinnamon Leather/Leatherette upholstery. This great example is a fantastic driver's 911S, complete numbers matching throughout, well optioned, in handsome period livery.
With a well-documented history and limited ownership the car shows 76,936 original miles. In 1996 the second owner had the engine rebuilt at 55,600 miles and at the same time removed all California emissions equipment which plagued these cars with overheating issues. Additionally an external oil cooler was installed for added protection. A one inch binder with extensive service and maintenance history accompanies the sale.
On the road, the S shows excellent manners, power is abundant, steers as directed, brakes nicely and overall leaves a lasting impression. The car displays a largely stock appearance with just a few tasteful additions. Its cabin's upholstery appears well kept with original material and trim, aside from recently refreshed front seat skins. Correct Sekurit side and rear glass remain. The rich, Bronze paint was reapplied to the exterior years ago and shows only minor blemishes from age and use. The original factory door jamb decals and trim remain. Both floor and trunk pans are very clean and free of any corrosion issues. The body is straight and with excellent gaps and panel fit and the undercarriage is largely original and nicely detailed. The front luggage compartment contains an original tool roll, 10/74 space saver, jack and air compressor. Importantly, this 911s is accompanied by its original Owner's Manual, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and records. It is now available for Worldwide purchase and delivery from our Houston, Texas showroom.
