Vehicle Description
1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Sedan
We have said it before and we will say it again, the 1957 Chevrolet
Bel Air is one of the most recognizable classics ever created.
These were the poster car for the classic car world for many years
and even in pop culture you will find that if they are trying to
give that 50's feel most likely the girl in the poodle skirt is
going to be hopping into a Turquoise 57. The classic you see here
is a very cool true Bel Air car that was special ordered with
factory air conditioning. The car was built to be a solid driver
with a bit of a hot rod look. The car is very enjoyable as is but
with its straight solid body would also be a good base for a
restoration if that is what you are looking for. It has no rust
issues or signs of damage. Coated in a primer Gray paint the car
has a much tougher exterior than it's brightly colored counter
parts. Most of the bright work is in place except for the rear
bumper. The center section does come with the car but the side
portions under the taillights are not. The glass is free from any
scratches/chips and is tinted throughout with a dark tint found on
the side glass and rear. The car has a great stance and under all
four corners sit aftermarket Eagle wheels with Uniroyal Tiger Paw
GTS tires.
Powering the car is the 283 V8 4 barrel motor. The engine is
believed to be original and runs strong. It is the type of car that
starts up well every time and cruises down the road comfortably. It
doesn't have any smoking issues or known problems. The original
transmission did have to be replaced previously so it was changed
out with a 700R4 automatic. It moves through the gears wheel and
makes the car run down the highway well. Disc brakes have been
added up front and are power assisted. It also has power steering
which makes driving it very easy. It is a factory AC with the
factory run vents but the AC system isn't currently working.
The previous owner of the car ran an interior shop and while in his
possession he installed an entirely new interior. It was done
within the past 5 years and is in great shape. It is done in all
black and the seat upholstery, headliner, carpeting, and door
panels all look good. The dash is Black with the gauge cluster and
steering wheel done in White. All of the original gauges are in
place as is the original 57 steering wheel. An aftermarket stereo
has been added with an amp and 10 cd changer mounted in the
carpeted trunk.
This is a fun classic that is being offered up at a great price.
Whether you want and old school driver or restoration project this
car has a lot of potential.
It's not every day you can pick up a factory AC Bel Air for only
$22,750.00!
