So heres the background, bought new in Dec 1962 by a young man that was a Capt in the Army stationed in Germany, Sept 1963 he returned to the states and brought the car back with him, it was his pride and joy garaged and never driven in foul weather. in 1966 he landed a job with a company that provided him with a company car so the little VW was parked and only used in the summer months. He kept the car until the late 90's until he retired. The car was sold to a collector and it was in a collection until a few days ago.
Dealer installed A/C is 90% complete minus compressor, all lines and components are there, heater works perfectly, runs and drives like new, 83,000 orig miles, 100 % orig paint, very few items are not orig, IE: wire cover, carpet in trunk, spare tire. All lights, lenses,are all OG Hella, German Bumpers, ORIG RUNNING BOARDS,WITH FLUTED MOLDINGS, perfect floors/pans,glass, orig carpet,headliner,interior paint,engine,trans,jack ect.
