Vehicle Description
STK 2082 2003 Harley Davidson Electra Glide The Harley Davidson
Electra Glide is the most traditional of all the Harley models. The
'Glide' part goes back to 1949, when Harley first introduced a
hydraulically damped front fork, 'Hydra-Glide', on its big twins.
In 1958, the Duo-Glide was rolled out with rear suspension and
finally the big twin got much needed electric starting in 1965. It
was then renamed the Electra Glide. For six years, the Electra
Glide was the only Harley big twin. It was the bike that you
thought of when someone said 'Harley', 'dresser', 'big twin' - the
'American motorcycle'. Manufactured in York, PA, this all original,
one-owner FLHTC 100th Anniversary Edition offers all the amenities
- a wind-splitting fork-mounted fairing, plush passenger pillion
and backrest, 40-watt per channel sound system with AM/FM/CD and
two low distortion speakers, spacious King Tour-Pak luggage
components, and hard saddlebags. Other key features include: Full
instrumentation, black and chrome Twin Cam 88 engine (carb
version), 5-speed transmission, triple-disc brake and
air-adjustable rear touring suspension. The owner has added a
custom seat, heated grips and a lot of chrome. There are also two
'shorty' windshields and a full cover included with the bike.
