For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1963 Ford Fairlane. Painted in one of Fords greatest colors, Wimbledon White less than 2 years ago. The interior is a great shade of blue that works perfectly with the exterior. Setting off the already great look is a set of 18x8 aluminum wheels wrapped in low profile radial tires and a lowered ride height. The front suspension has been upgraded to a Heidts front end that consist of rack and pinion power steering, power front disc brakes and tubular upper and lower control arms. With this modification, the engine bay is now free of the original shock towers that took up too much room in the engine bay. Now there's a clean look with plenty of room to tool on the engine. The engine is a 302 small block with less than 100 miles since a professional rebuild, tuned exhaust headers, finned aluminum valve covers, aluminum water pump. serpentine belt and an aluminum intake with an Edelbrock carburetor feeding the fuel. Backing up the power plant is a C4 3-speed automatic transmission. Shifting the transmission is between the two bucket seat in a custom center console. The rest of the interior appears to be mostly stock with the exception to an aftermarket steering wheel with a tilt column and Dolphin gauges in place of the original gauges. The original gauges are included with the sale as is some stainless steel trim and other odds and ends. The original gauges are showing just over 50,000 miles which is believed to be original to the car.
