For sale is a 1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster street rod located in our Indianapolis Showroom. This gorgeous street rod is ready to hit the streets in style and comfort and has lots of power to get you there in a hurry. This all steel '48 Chevy looks great painted in a "DuPont" Intense Blue Pearl Metallic with Silver Ghost flames over its smooth curves and against the chrome and stainless trim. The body features a few custom touches with shaved door handles with electric door poppers, molded in rear fenders, power trunk release, and a power antenna. The body is sitting on a full custom boxed steel frame with a Mustang II front end outfitted with tubular A-arms, QA1 Coilovers, disc brakes, and power rack and pinion steering with a four link rear end setup in the rear with QA1 coilovers and drum brakes. A custom interior was put in with two-tone saddle and tan vinyl with bucket seats up front with a center console and Lokar shifter with a single rear seat placed between the rear wheel tubs. A nice set of VDO gauges are tucked in nicely into the dash, a tilt column, and a "Southern Rods" A/C and Heat system was also added. The trunk is also finished out to match the interior and houses a 15 gallon fuel cell and an Optima Red Top battery. This 1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster is powered by its rebuilt 410 CID V8 engine, backed by a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission with a 2,800 stall converter, and running to a narrowed Ford 9" rear end with a Detroit "True Trac" posi unit and 4.10 gears. You will sure to draw a lot of attention when you pop the hood on this '48 Chevy. The engine is a 402 CID big block V8 that has been bored out to 410 CID with a blue chromed Edelbrock aluminum intake and dual Edelbrock 4-barrel chromed carburetors sitting on top. Other nice upgrades under the hood include: MSD 6AL Ignition System, Finned Aluminum Valve Covers, Billet Accessory Mounts, Walker Radiator with Electric Fan, Chrome Master Cylinder and Brake Booster, Chrome Alternator, and a Polished A/C Compressor. The exhaust breathes through a set of headers and into a 3" dual exhaust system with electric exhaust cutouts that you can open up with a push of a button. This awesome '48 Chevy is rolling on set of 15" aluminum Weld Racing wheels with Mr. Roadster spinners with massive Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R Radials in the rear measuring 31x18.00r15 and Starfire radials in front measuring 215/65r15.
