For Sale: 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle in O'Fallon, Illinois

Vehicle Description

For sale in our Dallas showroom is one of the nicest custom Chevelles you are likely to come across. A 1970 Chevelle frame off built with custom everything, and we mean everything. Built by Todd Nelson of Land O' Lakes Florida This car was done top to bottom with no bolts left unturned. Starting with the Chassis, it was stripped bare and a Ridetech Street Challenge suspension was installed. This replaces the control arms on all four corners with tubular units for strength and stability. This system also includes the Shockwaves airbag system. This gives the ability to adjust the right height on each corner of the car individually. Also installed were the Ridetech sway bar for cornering stability. An AGR quick ratio power steering box was used for the steering giving it that sports car feel. For braking, C6 Z06 brakes are used front and rear. 14.5” front rotors with 6 piston calipers and 14” out back with 4 piston calipers. The shoes are Forgeline staggered billet 3 piece wheels wrapped in Goodyear tires. The front wheels are 19”X8.5” with 245/45/19 tires and a massive 20”X11” wheels with 305/35/20 tires. LS2, which came from the factory with 400hp, and gave it a few bolt-ons to help it breathe easier and make a little more power. The stock intake manifold was used but smoothed and painted gloss black and then installed a custom air intake that features a K&N cone filter. Painted covers feature a custom-mixed color to match the leather interior, and add color to the engine bay. A great mix of satin and gloss finishes offers a nice contrast, while a few polished items, such as the Street & Performance headers and billet hood hinges bring character under the hood. In addition to the headers, the Chevelle has a full 2.5-inch exhaust system complete with Flowmaster mufflers. Behind the powerful LS2 is a Tremec T56 manual transmission which leads to the stock 12-bolt rear end, fitted with 4.11 gears. When it came time to give the Chevelle's body a makeover, the car needed all new sheetmetal to provide a fresh canvas. Once all of the new panels were fitted and aligned, the door handles and side marker lights were shaved to continue the smooth look. Then, it was time for bodywork, Several cycles of priming and block sanding took place before it was deemed ready for a deep black urethane paint. A satin grey stripe covers the center of the hood and features an orange pin stripe, to go along with the orange accents in the SS badges, and brake calipers. After allowing the Dupont materials to cure, the car was sanded once again to remove any imperfections in the fresh finish, then buffed to bring back the incredible shine and depth you see here. From there, it was a matter of reassembling the Chevelle and getting it ready for the upholstery shop. Matt McEntegart handled the stitch work inside Todd's Chevelle, and wrapped the '10 Camaro bucket seats and hand-fabricated interior panels with high quality leather. The unique color certainly stands out against the black paint, while dark accents bring it all together. McEntegart's work is flawless, especially when you consider the level of detail in the custom door panels, headliner and console. A Paul Atkins dash is filled with Classic Instruments gauges, while an ididit steering column and Billet Specialties steering wheel are placed perfectly within reach. Every detail of the interior is customized, and creature comforts are in full force with a Vintage Air system, as well as a killer stereo, fit with a Pioneer head unit and a host of JL Audio equipment. An American Autowire harness brings all of these accessories, along with the rest of the car's electronics, to life. Restomod Chevelles don’t become available every day. A restomod Chevelle like this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Don’t miss yours.
