this 1971 Corvette 454 Convertible is in nice condition, coming in
the desirable Red/Red/White color combination and showing an older
body-off restoration, and featuring power steering and power
brakes. This car's paint looks to be newer, and is vg with a great
shine. Convertible top looks to be recent, and is vg-exc with a
vg-exc window. All exterior glass in this car shows a correct date
code, and weatherstripping looks to be slightly older, and is
good-vg. Chrome bumpers show an older or original finish, and are
in good condition. Taillights and exterior door handles show
typical wear for a car of this age. Rally wheels good-vg with good
condition trim rings and center caps, and radial raised white
letter tires show an average of 10/32nds tread depth remaining. The
interior of this 1971 Corvette 454 Convertible shows vg loop
carpet, door panels, and rear storage bins, and good condition dash
pad, center console, GM seatbelts and steering wheel. An older
Custom Auto Sound AM/FM/Cassette stereo has taken the place of the
factory AM/FM radio, and the clock is currently working with a
quartz movement. The NOM 454ci engine in this car shows correct
casting number 3953512, and original casting date July 1, 1971.
Judging by the presence of "CE" on the stamp pad, this appears to
be a new car warranty replacement engine. Correct air cleaner,
intake manifold, valve covers, ignition shielding, and exhaust
manifolds are in place, and the frame is solid and rust-free.
