Henry…..the FOX BODY J
Hello! I’m Henry the Fox Body J. You may be wondering what I am. Unlike Henry J’s you may have seen before, I am different because I am made from 2 vehicles: 1952 Henry J Corsair and 1987 Mustang LX.
My creator, Tony, had the vision to make me all Henry (Henry J and Henry Ford). Tony wanted to find a Ford platform that would fit under me and after measuring wheel bases and tire tracks he discovered the Fox Body Mustangs from 1979-1993 would fit perfectly. He purchased a 1987 Mustang LX with EFI, 5.0 motor and AOD transmission. Tony wanted to use as much of the LX as he could on me, so he trimmed the LX down to the rocker panels, cut the floor and fire wall out of me and lowered me on to the LX, at that point Tony saw he could mate us. Tony got to work fabricating on weekends and I came together. Not only did I get my body matted to the LX with drive line and suspension. He included the dash and interior from the LX, so I look like a Henry J on the outside but when you sit inside me I am a Mustang. I have the appearance of a hatch back so the fold down back seat from the LX fit like it was made to be. I am equipped with factory AC, tilt wheel, cruise control, shaved door handles and power windows. The audio system is upgraded with blue tooth.
I am a one on unibody Henry J…..I can be driven anywhere.
