For Sale: 1959 Chevrolet Impala in Arlington, Texas

Vehicle Description

1959 Chevrolet Impala

First released in 1958, the Chevrolet Impala was the highest level trim model for the Bel Air. This look only lasted for a year as the car was completely redesigned in 1959 when it became its own series. The changes were huge and created one of the most iconic and recognizable classics around. It was lower, wider, and incorporated fins that protruded out to the sides vs upwards. In the following years the grill was changed and the fins made more subtle so if you like this look, a 59 Impala is your only option. These cars have always been extremely popular and you can't talk classic car history without mentioning them.

This 59 Chevrolet Impala is a nice original unrestored classic that has lived its entire life in Fort Worth, TX. It currently resides with its second owner who has had the car since 1978. Those are huge statements considering it is almost 60 years old! Then factor in that the car has only 53,000 original miles. That is average less than 1,000 miles a year since it was rolled out of the factory. The car is coated in White which pairs beautifully with the Red interior. They may have not known it at the time but this color combination has been one of the most desirable combos offered on these cars. We have had many people contact us about Impalas over the years and more often than not they request a specific color...White with Red. All of the original chrome and stainless is in place as are all of the original emblems and badging. Those classic dual double headlights and teardrop taillights light up nicely with no issues. All of the glass on the car is looking good with a slight tint. The original wheels and hubcaps ride under all four corners and are wrapped with thin white wall tires which accent the White body perfectly.

Pop the hood and you will find the original 348 V8 motor still in place. It runs strong with no smoking or issues. The car has factory power brakes with the original master cylinder still mounted to the firewall. Paired with the motor is a 2 speed powerglide transmission that moves through the gears smoothly.

The Red interior is in great shape and has been very well maintained. The original upholstery incorporates a striped pattern on the inserts with a Silver accent piping along the tops. The dash has that factory appearance with all of the original gauges, knobs, and switches. The original steering wheel sits nicely in front of the driver and has been wrapped with Red leather. The car also features factory AC which is in place and blowing cold.

All original, limited owner, low mileage cars like this are getting harder and harder to find. The car is comfortable to drive and enjoy as is but would also make a good base for a restoration project.

Take this Impala home for $34,850.00!
