Vehicle Description
1971 Chevrolet Stepside Shortbed Pickup
This is a gorgeous and really well built little '71 Stepside.
The truck is powered by a 70's era built, 4-bolt main Chevy 350ci
with slightly oversized cam, and an Edelbrock intake manifold
coupled with an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor. It has a
high-performance electronic ignition, headers going to a custom
dual exhaust, a new chrome starter and was just tuned up. The whole
engine bay is dressed out in chrome Chevrolet parts including the
air cleaner, valve covers, battery cover and wiper fluid tank. The
rest of the mechanicals are also chromed and all of the belts and
hoses are new/recently replaced. The transmission is a 350THM with
a shift kit getting to the ground through a 12-bolt Chevy rear-end
geared at 3:56 to 1 with Positraction.
It is painted in a very nice teal color with custom pin-striping
over the majority of the body. The bed is all wood and stainless
steel and it is done to absolute show quality. The pickup sits on
15? American Racing rims and like-new Grand Am High Performance
tires. The front end has been lowered slightly with springs giving
it a perfect stance especially with the high profile, wider tires
in the back. It has disc brakes in the front and drums in the back
with power steering to get it around with ease.
The interior was done by Hoglund's in Everett and has a newly
covered split bench seat with a custom center console that folds
down complete with cup holders. All of the original gauges are
built into the dash and function properly. There is a nice Pioneer
AM/FM/CD stereo with Sony speakers in the door and dash to listen
to tunes with while cruising around town.
This truck runs strong and drives straight without a single rattle
or movement in the steering.
