This was the first year Chrysler Corp offered the new shorter wheelbase “B” bodies to the public, thinking smaller big cars would be hot sellers for 1962. People and the press found them stylistically awkward; however they proved unbeatable on race tracks around the country, setting speed records everywhere when powered with the optional 413 V8.
This top of the line Polara 500 convertible is one of only 2,089 produced. It’s finished in Vermillion with beautiful matching two tone red/white vinyl bucket seat/console upholstery and a white convertible top.
