Top notch 1969 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Coupe. Red exterior with tan interior. This car saw a major restoration over the last ten years and is an excellent example. If it needed replacing, it was replaced! Engine is silky smooth with only 900 miles on complete engine rebuild including new clutch plate and new magnesium engine block completed by Painter’s Grinding in Denver, CO. Engine has been bored out to 1914cc but no other modifications. The engine compartment is so clean you could eat off of it! Newer adjustable coil over springs in front make for an excellent ride. The interior is also in like new condition. Carpet, headliner, seats and dash all look great! Original gauges are all in working order with the exception of the clock. This is a radio delete model. Its previous owners who lived in Northern California lovingly cared for this car. I have been told that the car was originally purchased in Missouri but spent most of its life in California before I purchased her and moved her to Denver, CO. The paint looks great with few imperfections (pointed out in the pictures). The driver’s side floor pan was replaced at some point but other than that no other signs of rust. The only modifications on this car are the removal of the front VW emblem and the rear “Volkswagen” script which both can easily be added if you desire.
This Ghia is straight and sorted- you won’t be disappointed! It’s difficult to find a Ghia in this condition that hasn’t had major modifications taking away from the original design. Come take a look and see for yourself!
