In order to meet NASCAR “build requirements” (so that Fireball Roberts and other Nascar drivers could race these Pontiacs) the factory had to build a minimum of approximately 740 of these high performance models. They were equipped with Tri-Power carburetors producing 348 HP, factory 4-speed transmission, 8 lug wheels, tinted glass, 3:64 SAFE-T-Track rear axle and special rear end stabilizer track bars. This may be the best 100% original (except one repaint) low actual mileage example of this rare car in the world. It has had only 3 owners and been featured in magazine article (also cover car) wherein previous owners review vehicles’ careful history since purchased new.
