Mike Skinner calls himself “The Gunslinger” on his website recounting his successful and colorful career. The winner of 28 NASCAR Craftsman (now Camping World) Truck Series events, Skinner also started on pole 50 times from 229 career starts at this level with 90 top five’s and 144 top ten’s to his credit. His greatest success was found in the first two years of this innovative series, when in 1995 and 1996 he drove for the famed Richard Childress Racing team and would win the inaugural NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship in a livery reminisce of the 2005 Chevrolet truck that is being offered. These colors also harken back to those flown by the late Dale Earnhardt; a Childress teammate during Skinner’s time at RCR.
This 2005 Chevrolet has all of the appearances of a NASCAR vehicle from the Truck Series and is being sold on a bill of sale. Apart from it being reported this truck has a 350-cid V-8 engine with a four-speed manual transmission, we can only view photos to confirm that it has a tribute RCR/Mike Skinner paint scheme, spoilers front and rear, racing-style wheels, Goodyear Eagle race-type rubber, racing-style fuel filler and cockpit/windshield details that are most fitting with the tribute presentation and its close resemblance to the successful Childress/Skinner efforts.
