For Sale: 1974 Chevrolet Corvette in Monroe, New Jersey

Being offered for sale is a very special 1974 LS4 454/270hp 4-Speed convertible in Classic White with rare Silver Leather interior. This is a highly optioned car, with power brakes, power steering, tilt-telescopic steering column, alarm, deluxe interior, power windows, air conditioning and an auxiliary hard top. This is not a freshly restored trailer queen with reproduction parts. This is an original un-molested Corvette, which sat in storage for many years and recently received a complete refreshing at a high end Corvette restoration facility. Every system on the car was gone through and properly addressed. A quality lacquer repaint done in 1988, which held up very well, was color sanded, nicks addressed and buffed back to show quality. The door jams, which were not painted at the time of the repaint in 1988, were re-sprayed, detailed and new weather stripping installed. The car received new OEM type stainless steel exhaust pipes and mufflers. Under the hood, oil and filter were changed, heater hoses and belts replaced, radiator flushed and new anti-freeze replaced, the original water pump rebuilt, air conditioning system evacuated and recharged, the original carburetor rebuilt, the air filter changed, and the engine received a complete tune up with new spark plugs and the timing set. The undercarriage and suspension components were gone over and bushings and other rubber components needing replacement were replaced. The brake system was gone over and properly serviced. The gas tank was removed, flushed and re-installed. The original Corvette Order Copy, in very legible condition, was found on the tank and preserved. 1974 was the last year Corvette offered the big block engine; so, here we have the last of the legendary big block Corvettes, with all the optional creature comforts not available in the earlier big blocks. This is a highly optioned, original Corvette, with a tank sticker, in excellent condition, which is absolutely “turn key” needing nothing other then to be proudly driven and thoroughly enjoyed.
