Only for the last two years of production did Jaguar produce a 6.0 Liter V12 that is matted to a four-speed transmission. With the addition of an extra gear on the transmission and increased engine displacement, this XJS is fast, smooth, and incredibly responsive. This to owner example was originally sold in Maryland. In 1999 it was sold to a second owner through a Maryland Jaguar dealer as a select edition pre-owned motorcar. To qualify as a select edition, a car gets an inspection and is up-to-date on it serviced by jaguar. It has been meticulously maintained by its previous owner. As with all of our Jaguars, this car was thoroughly inspected and serviced by our local Jaguar specialist, the Jaguar Doctor. Every switch, control, and operation performs exactly as they should. It is not only a brilliant performer, but stunningly beautiful. The paint and chrome gleam and show little evidence of its age. Since the convertible top is new, it is perfect as is the headliner. Inside the leather is just beautiful highlighted by tan seat piping. As expected the carpets are in the same condition as the leather. The wood in this car is beautiful and is free of any cracks or blemishes. This Jaguar is turnkey, and ready to be driven and enjoyed.
