It’s an original short box pickup with updated power steering and power braking systems. The original motor was replaced with a 454ci 365HP LS5 engine that has been bored .30 over and matched with a 700R4 Automatic transmission. Every piece of rubber, plastic, wiring, glass, all drive train and suspension components and interior parts as well as exterior trim were replaced. The drive train was rebuilt from the u-joints up. The LS5, 454ci is a 365HP engine and has been bored and rebuilt for better performance and horsepower. The transmission and the rear end have also been rebuilt. The front and rear suspension, in addition to, the braking systems have been completely rebuilt with all new tie rod ends, shocks, bushings, ball joints, brake components and bearings. The original cab, doors, fenders, hood, cowl vent panel and frame were media blasted to bare, rust free metal prior to the application of anticorrosion materials, primer, surfacer and base/clear materials. The bucket seats are original to this truck and recovered in period correct black vinyl and houndstooth material. A complete new wiring harness was installed. All new seals, weather stripping, door internals, mount bushings, glass and trim were installed as well. All exterior trim including bumpers, headlight assemblies, grill, logos, door handles, locks, mirrors, tail lights, glass moldings, etc. were replaced with largely new, aftermarket parts with some NOS and original parts utilized where available. The pickup bed was done with finished wood deck which has been treated and coated to protect it from the elements if it does get caught outside. Every nut, bolt, screw and fastener was replaced with new items. This C10 Pickup is a must see to believe the meticulous detail that has been put into restoring and rebuilding this pickup to factory new condition. When you take this pickup out for a spin you will feel like you are driving it off the dealership floor back in 1972 and you will get that complete nostalgic feeling.
