1926 Chrysler Roadster This 1926 Chrysler Roadster is truly a rare
gem. With all original Walter Chrysler steel body, fenders and all
other sheet metal, all in excellent condition. Plaint in deep black
glistens. The original deep section Chrysler frame is retained and
beefed up with cross member and transmission support bracket mount.
The body features the original golf club door in the quarter panel.
The trunk is set up as a rumble seat with original polished
aluminum steps on the bumper and rear fender. The rumble seating is
not installed, rather the area is utilized as a trunk. With a
wheelbase longer than a Ford Model A or B, the stance is much
longer thus providing a much smoother ride quality and more
interior leg room. The snug fitting convertible top is finished
with original bows and supports that have been beautifully
refinished. The exterior black finish is complimented in a lot of
chrome in the wheels, hub caps, bumpers, trims and classic hood
ornament. The modern drive train is all Ford with a 1985 Mustang
302 fuel injected engine with SVO GT40 heads. The professionally
rebuilt C4 transmission has independent oil cooler. The power is
taken to a Lincoln Versailles rear end featuring triangulated four
bar system and coil over shocks. Stopping is assured with four
wheel disc brakes and dual master cylinder. The aftermarket font
suspension is rack and pinion that was recently checked and
aligned. New Uniroyal tires are at the 4 corners. The interior
features new Flaming River polished stainless steel steering
u-joints and DD shafts. Recent upgrades include new water pump,
hoses, SPAL electric fan, refurbished and tested radiator, new
valve covers and the stock Ford headers were ceramic coated. The
original gauge cluster was retained and new Stewart Warner oil
pressure, gas, and temp gauges were installed in a custom floor
mounted cluster fabricated from a ribbed aluminum air cleaner. This
is a great driving rare Chrysler roadster, you will not likely see
