Series 115C. 100 bhp, 237 cu. in. L-head inline six-cylinder engine, three-speed selective synchromesh manual transmission, independent front coil-spring and semi-elliptic rear spring suspension, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 115 in.

With its Fifteenth Series introduced in 1937, Packard offered its first six-cylinder car since 1927. Remarkably, the 100 horsepower 237 cubic inch L-head inline six-cylinder engine was capable of propelling the Packard Six down the highway at 100mph. Packard had entered the medium-price field in 1935 with its 120 model. Here was a six-cylinder version of what was essentially a 120. The Packard Six shared the same sheet metal and most of the mechanical components. With a 5-inch shorter wheelbase, the Packard Six had a shorter hood. The engine was a basically a 120 Straight Eight less two cylinders. Less trim, and a blended interior fabric also helped differentiate it from the more powerful, larger 120.
This 1937 Packard 115C Convertible Coupe is owned by a gentleman I have known personally for about 40 years in my hometown of Smithfield, RI. He has decided to sell it after all these years and has asked me to list it for him.
I have known this 1937 Packard Convertible Coupe most of my life. Its a great driver and the owner uses it for the local cruise nights and coffee shop runs every weekend. He rebuilt the motor in the 80’s, painted it in the 90’s and had some chrome and interior/top work done over the years, as needed. Its never been off its chassis and the fenders were never off, only loosened a bit to get the new welting installed.
Its condition would be classified a nice driver by most folks. It starts, runs, drives, stops, charges and cools like it should. It will always get you there and back.
