Calling all Gone In Sixty Seconds Fans! Nicolas Cage's ears are ringing somewhere, because this GT500 recreation is top tier quality. As Greg states in our in-depth, special feature video, this '67 Eleanor is the nicest we have ever seen. The previous owner and builder of this Mustang was a law enforcement officer who approached this build like a heart surgeon performing a transplant. Absolutely nothing was overlooked, the level of this build is second to none. Every nut and bolt was touched and the result resembles a fine piece of Tiffany jewelry.
This car started life as a '67 S-Code 4-speed. The existing block was used with cobra jet upgrades to the heads, as well as a bored/stroked/balanced lower end. Before paint, while on the rotisserie, every seam where metal comes together was seam sealed and covered with Dynamat. Another addition was the professionally applied Ryno Liner on the undercarriage (sealer/primer/top coat...all Dupont products). Small tedious work such as seam sealing after applying removable wheel well flares and fabricating reinforced hangers for the side exit exhaust are just a couple things that set this Eleanor a notch above your average build.
The lines, fitment and body condition alone are something to shed a tear of pure bliss over.
