Fittingly, AMC chose the high styled Ambassador 990 to lead the AMC nameplate into the future. The AMC Ambassador 990 stands as the pinnacle of the AMC automotive brand. It was the “top-of-the-line” mark for AMC going head to head with GM, Ford and Chrysler.
