Vehicle Description
This Mustang has been rebuilt as a Boss 302 re-creation. It was built with the goal of driving a classic-looking Boss 302 that drives more like a current model but doesn't lose the classic feel. The original 302 block was bored .30 over with new pistons, valves, guides, seats, stock cam, rods and machined Windsor heads. The intake was upgraded and a new 4-barrel Holley carburetor was installed. Pertinox electronic ignition replaced the standard. The steel radiator and cast-iron water pump with belt-driven cooling fan was replaced with the Jam-N-Motorsports Champion 3 all-aluminum pro-series radiator with two 12" electric cooling fans. The factory air conditioning system was upgraded with Classic Auto Air and current R134 coolant. The suspension was replaced with rack & pinion, Flaming River tilt wheel mated to power steering, upper and lower ball joints, front coil springs, cross tower support, KYB front struts and front sway bar. Power front disc brakes were also added. The FMX transmission was completely rebuilt and the rear end replaced with a bulletproof 370 geared 9" posi-traction. To top it off, the car has a killer sound system. It has 46,728 original miles.
