Vehicle Description
We have a stunning 1967 Jaguar XKE for sale. This is really an eye catching Jaguar Series I Coupe. Of all the fine automobiles designed in the 1960's the series I Jaguar E-type is unquestionably one of my favorites. This is a wonderful example of a Series I XKE with arguably the most desirable color combination of a beautiful, bright red exterior with a sharp and clean black interior.
Some of the attention given to this classic Jaguar within just the last two years includes:
A Bare Metal re-spray
A Complete Falcon Stainless Steel Exhaust System
A New Clutch with Aluminum Flywheel
New Michelin Red Line Tires
A New Starter Motor, Alternator and Water Pump
A Recently Installed "Cool Cat Fan" (which solves the overheating problem common amoung these early Jaguars)
Bumper Over riders
Rebuilt Dayton Wire Wheels
New 3 Piece Safety Belts
A New Pioneer Radio
New Bushings and Ball Joints
New Door and Post Seals
All Guages/Lights Work (except the clock)
A Reconditioned Speedometer Drive and a NewTachometer Generator
This beautiful Jaguar XKE shows no rust and it is absolutely striking in appearance. This car has not been "over restored" and it is not a concourse car or a museum piece. This is a great example of a gorgeous car that you will not be afraid to drive and enjoy daily.
This is a numbers matching Jaguar XKE (the engine block matches the numbers on the ID plate). The mileage on the odometer of approximately 91,500 is believed to be original. The engine runs strong but it does puff a bit of smoke. A compression test was done on the car recently and it showed 5 of the 6 cylinders at around 140 lbs/sq inch and the other at around 100. The car is very fast (for a stock 1967 automobile) and the engine can still put you back in your seat. The oil pressure remains high and it is responsive to the RPM's of the motor.
