In 1948 Packard released the Twenty-Second series, their first all-new offering following World War II. The overall design of the new series was so beautiful the New York Fashion Academy awarded it their ‘Fashion car of the year’ Gold medal. One model introduced for 1948 was the Station Sedan which was based on the Standard Eight Sedan. The car featured a fastback roofline with wood accent paneling and the introduction of a two-piece tailgate. The Station Sedan was offered through 1950.

This 1948 Packard 8 Station Sedan is presented in light yellow accented by wood body panels and a roof mounted luggage rack. The car rides on wide whitewall tires with factory wheel covers. This Packard “woodie” is powered by a 288-cid straight eight-cylinder engine which is paired to a three-speed manual transmission. If you are curious just how great of car the 1948 Packard 8 Station Sedan is, just “ask the man who owns one.”
