This car features a fiberglass body inspired by the 1941 Willys Coupe; it is painted in a unique pearl orange with flames. The body sits on a square tube chassis with a Mustang II front suspension, tubular control arms as well as a manual rack-and-pinion steering. It also has a chromed four-link rear suspension. The custom chassis "floats" on Ridetech "Air Ride." The car rides on BFGoodrich Radial T/As in front and BFGoodrich Sport Track T/As in back, both of which are mounted on American Racing Torq Thrust-style wheels.
The Willys Coupe is powered by a 528-cid V-8 Hemi crate engine which produces 650-hp. The engine features Dick Landy roller rockers, a Crane Hydraulic Roller cam, Holley four-barrel carburetor as well as an MSD distributor. The engine is paired to a 700R4 automatic transmission with overdrive. Power is sent from the transmission to a Ford 9-inch rear end featuring a 3.00:1 gear ratio. Bringing this powerful custom to a safe stop are 11-inch, four-wheel power disc brakes. The interior is completed in red featuring modern amenities which include bucket seats, air conditioning; as well as a handheld Secretaudio Audio-Satellite-Bluetooth-Radio.
The incredibly smooth body also has shaved door handles, a curved one-piece windshield and modern headlights along with the trademark Willys grille. The owner feels that the centerpiece of this fine build is its custom two-place interior with alligator inserts, a waterfall-style center console, polished tilt steering column and BonSpeed instrumentation along with a Lokar shifter.
