Cadillac was a formidable automotive power in the 1950s, thanks in large part to its engineering prowess and Harley Earl’s trendsetting styling. By 1955, Cadillac had finally displaced Packard as America’s dominant luxury car manufacturer, and continued to set new production records.
This Cadillac convertible has been the recipient of a sympathetic restoration to bring it back to its original state. The odometer shows 31,000 miles, which are believed to be original to the car. Under the hood, the car is boasting a V-8 engine that is backed by a column-shift automatic transmission. The interior is tailored with tan leather upholstery, power windows, six-way power seats, AM radio, electric clock, power antenna and the original steering wheel. The exterior has been finished with deep red paint, fender skirts, excellent brightwork and whitewall tires with full factory wheel covers.
