Here is the vaunted Challenger; low, lean, close to the ground and fast. The Challenger was "totally new" for 1970 and it was noted for being a machine that looked exciting while sitting still. The Dodge Challenger may have come late to the pony car party – ground the Mustang and Camaro had thoroughly staked out by 1970 – but its arrival brought new life to the festivities. It matched its rival’s option for option in the market, and buyers could configure a wide range of power options like Ford, Chevy and AMC.
This exciting Challenger R/T is driven by the Magnum 383-cid, 330-hp V-8 engine with four-barrel carburetor matched with four-speed manual transmission with pistol grip shifter. The car is reported as being restored to factory specifications. The stylish convertible is finished in C7 Plum Crazy with white power-operated top and side accent stripes with black interior. Among the equipment are bucket seats, console, woodgrain trim, factory AM radio, factory-style road wheels, Goodyear Polyglas tires, sport mirrors; power steering and brakes.
