In 1958, following a large advanced marketing campaign Ford introduced their all-new line the Edsel. The cars struggled to achieve the goals Ford had set out for the company. For 1959 the Edsel was offered in three models: the Ranger, Corsair and Villager station wagon. Of all the cars produced by Edsel in 1959, the rarest was the Corsair Convertible with only 1,343 examples produced. The Edsel marquee was retired following a very limited 1960 model year production run.
This 1959 Edsel Corsair Convertible is presented in Redwood with fender skirts and a black convertible top. The car rides on wide whitewall tires with factory wheel covers. Additional exterior features include dual sideview mirrors and exhaust. The Corsair is powered by a 332-cid V-8 engine which is paired to a three-speed automatic transmission. The interior is completed in a two-tone silver and black featuring front and rear bench seating with a clock and radio.
