Just Toys Classic Cars is proud to present still one of the coolest hot rods out there. This is a 1923 Ford T Bucket. People have been building these forever. If you are old enough to remember the show Happy Days, Ralph Malph drove one. this is a fiberglass kit and it is very well built. The red paint is miles deep and shows very well. This car was built back in 2010. So, for a 6 year old car everything presents very well. This particular kit does not have the passenger door that opens, but when you buy the car, there is a kit included to install one if you wanted to. These were cool back in the day, and they are still cool to this day.
Obviously, there is not much in the way of interior in these cars, but what is here is done very well. The seats have no rips or tears and the roll and pleat side panels look beautiful. There is even extra material that comes with the car should you ever need it. When you look at the pics you are going to see the the steering column is very old school. This was called bar stool steering. No fancy tilt wheels here. Just get is and there is the wheel and go have a good time. All of the gauges are very easy to read so you can always see what is going on with your ride. This particular build has the tall windshield as well as a canvas top. This way you can keep the sun off your head, and the bugs out of your teeth compared to the short windscreen buckets that your head sits over the windshield. Some might even say that again, if you are old enough to remember the show, that this has a Munsters look to it.
Normally we talk about what is under the hood, but in this case it's just what's between the frame rails. For a good change, this car has a Ford in a Ford. Here sits a well appointed 302 that is putting out about 300 ponies, and enough chrome to make you wear your shades even when you look at it inside. This is mated to a c4 transmission so all you have to do is slap this baby in drive, and get ready to go have some fun.
As you will see in the pics the frame and the underside of this car are in great shape as well. There is not a whole lot to a T Bucket so everything is very easy to see. The custom hand made wood box holds the aluminium gas tank and looks great from the rear of the car. There are also an extra set of rear tires and wheels that come with the car, as well as a set of rear fenders for those big meats.
We just can not say enough just how much fun these cars are. Every show or cruise night that you go to you are going to get a ton of attention and thumbs up. When you stop to get gas, people are going to want to stop and speak with you about how cool your car is. On a fun scale of 1-10 these cars are a 20. This is one that you need to have in your collection for sure.
