were right around the corner. Ben-Hur won the Academy Award for
Best Picture and Marilyn Monroe was burning up the screen in some
Like It Hot. Playing on your radio was The Battle of New Orleans,
Mack The Knife, Personality, and Venus just to name a few. The cars
will still good sized land yachts for some makes with tons of
chrome and fins and wings as the space age roared on. Times still
seemed simpler, and maybe they were. This car is one of those
examples.

Fairlane 500 Galaxy Skyliner. Long name, but it's a big car. This
was Ford Motor Companies big land yacht. This car is proof that
every new idea was once an old idea. A lot of the younger
generations probably thought that Lexus or BMW came out with the
first hard top convertible. The fit and finish on this particular
car is second to none. Everything works on the top just like it
should. Door and hood gaps are where they need to be, and the new
paint is miles deep and only about a year old. This is one of those
boulevard cruisers that you would be proud to drive and look great
doing it.
The interior of these cars are so spacious. There were no SUV's and
mini vans that could fit 6-9 people. You had your car. This car
will fit 6 comfortably. The front and rear seats have been redone
and look amazing, The door panels are original to the car and you
will see that the painted dash is in great shape as well. If it is
just you and your favorite someone, have them slide on over, wrap
your arm around them and possibly remember a simpler time and go
cruise the boulevard.
Under the hood of this cruiser is a 352 V8 that has the original
miles on it that you see on the odometer. This motor purrs like a
kitten when you fire it up. You almost don't even hear it run. This
is mated to a 3 speed automatic transmission that shifts smooth as
silk as you glide down the road. This is not a horsepower monster.
This is a fun boulevard cruiser. As you see in the pics, this car
is as clean underneath. It is clean driver quality. That is part of
what makes this such a good buy. You can get in and drive this one
and not have to worry about anything. If you want to make it
Saturday nigh chassis cam at Barrett-Jackson you can and it's only
going to increase the value of the car.
