This gorgeous Mercedes Benz has been turning heads since 1985. This 380SL, V-8 has the iconic Mercedes look of luxury and engineering perfection. The R107 with its sophisticated look is a desirable car for classic car collectors and individuals who want to enjoy driving a high-end luxury convertible with a very reasonable price tag.
The car was originally registered in Maryland in 1987 and only had two private owners before us. We restored the car with much love, care, and attention to detail. The car has a high-quality paint job in OEM Signal Red (Fire Engine Red), it was wet sanded and polished. We receive a lot of compliments on the paint job at car shows. Since the restoration, the car has been garage-kept.
The color underlines the classic lines of the car while giving it the attention it demands. The grey interior has been restored with new leather seats and a new jump seat with seat belts last year. We also had the black dashboard cover replaced and the brown interior plastic trim has been replaced with beautiful wooden trim. The black soft top canvas is in great condition. The car also comes with a freshly painted hard top in Fire Engine Red.
The car has been completely overhauled and detailed. The car has a clean CarFax history. The odometer shows 111,457 but it broken since the previous owner. We only drove the car a few miles to car shows in nice weather.
We also installed a new Panasonic radio and speakers. The car is in overall in great condition, but there are a few items that we have not gotten around to restore, none of which have taken away any of the joy of driving this convertible: - air conditioning system needs servicing/repair. Odometer needs repair.
This is a smoke-free automobile. There are no noticeable dings or scratches on the exterior of this vehicle. The interior is clean and in good condition. This car is an absolute pleasure to drive.
