Over the years Mercedes coupes exported to the US have come in many configurations. They all offered essentially bulletproof reliability, satisfying power and aggressive good looks. Each and every one confidently told the world that its occupants had ‘arrived’. This all-original 1983 380SEC coupe has lived a good life. The only restoration work done to this car was a handsome exterior refinish in factory Grey (2011). The original blue leather interior is still in remarkable condition. This is a comfortable cockpit with burlwood accents, climate control A/C, AM/FM/CD (aftermarket), power tinted windows, power seats/locks, cruise - and for those pleasant evenings, open the optional sunroof. Horsepower comes from the 3.8-liter Bosch Injected SOHC V-8 engine in total factory trim. It delivers 194 BHP through a four-speed automatic gearbox. The 380SEC has power steering, fully independent suspension, 4-wheel power disc brakes and alloy wheels. The Mercedes recently received a major service including new hoses, belts, fuel pump and rear brakes. This is a very nice 380SEC that will soon find a new home.
