1966 Ford Mustang CONVERTIBLE SHELBY GT350 TRIBUTE
Here is a dazzling 1966 Mustang Convertible GT350 Tribute Resto -Mod, combining Shelby Convertible looks with modern power, comfort and drivability. This black plate, rust free, California car is done in its original one year only color combination of Emberglow and Parchment. We like to call it Project Ember-Go!! Started with a 2 owner, low mileage convertible, virtually every component in the car was replaced with modern components. The engine is an E303 GT40 Ford Motorsports crate motor, with aluminum heads, cobra intake and fuel injected. We added a Vortech S-trim supercharger to add some fun. Jet-coated headers and Flowmaster exhaust takes it out to the rear valance, where it hides just out of sight. Project Ember-Go quenches its thirst via a big 22 gallon fuel tank with an in the tank fuel pump from tank works. An aluminum 1967 big block aluminum radiator, core support and dual fans inside a big block shroud keeps the temp under control at all times. The engine is lowered and set back to improve handling, as is the trunk mounted Optima Red top battery with billet mount. Power runs through a King Cobra Clutch to the Ford racing T5Z 5-speed transmission and spins a one-off custom.
