The Advance Design trucks rolled out by GM were radically different in 1947 than pre-WWII pickups. Before this time, pickups produced were essentially glued on flat beds to whatever was produced. GM made a truck that was designed for more than just having a place to put stuff. It was a full on new version of automobile and sales took off.
This beautiful Chevy 3100 3 window pick up is offered for your consideration. It was restored in 1999 and still looks great. The 235 ci straight 6 was rebuilt less than 200 miles ago. The tires and wheels were recently replaced. Along with the sale of this truck comes the steel wheels with hubcaps. The truck also has new brake master cylinder and hoses, new heater core, new exhaust, new leaf springs and window regulators. The electrical system was upgraded to the better function 12 volt. It has after market turn signals, electric wipers, and a custom 2" trailer hitch. It had a recent complete tune up including plugs, points, coil, fuel pump and belt.
