Featured in the December 2007 issue of Muscle Car Review article, "As Good As It Gets", this car is acknowledged as truly one of the best Hemi 'Cuda's known to exist.

This Hemi 'Cuda has a well documented owner history. It was originally owned by Jim and Larry McCraken of Springfield, Illinois Van Lines & Storage and used as an promotional exposition race car known as the "Shotgun Express". The factory motor was set aside on a stand and a fully race prepped HEMI was used during exhibition drag races. She was rarely driven and stored in climate controlled environment most all its life. This is the main reason that it still wears all factory original sheet metal and most of the original paint for more than 40 years.

In 1972 sold Jim and Larry sold Peter Swainson of Canada with 7,000 original miles on it, with the race prepped block still in the engine bay. During that time, it was then used as the modeling reference for the Johnny Lighting die cast collectible models. The car passed to Mitch Tanner of Waco, TX and then to Bill Weimann showing 8,000 miles on the odometer and still wearing original paint. During Bill's ownership, the car was reunited the car with the original engine that had been in Illinois the entire time, installed in Bob Ward's (of Elburn, IL) Hemi GTX since the 1970's. Galen Govier visually inspected the VIN stamps on the motor, the rest of the drivetrain, and the body in 2011, confirming that she is indeed a 100% numbers matching Hemi 'Cuda.

Still showing 9,000 miles, it was then restored to OE Concours standards under its current ownership. She is documented by a factory original Monroney Label (window sticker), IBM Card, partial Broadcast Sheet, and original Fender Tags. It is one of the lowest mile, most original, and highest optioned 1970 Hemi Cuda's known to exist.
