For Sale: 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 in Charlotte, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

A double-black 1969 Ford Mustang with the Mach I appearance, and a 351 V8 so freshly rebuilt, we have to give you break-in instructions with this car. We're pretty sure that defines serious desirability in one sentence.

This pony car started out as a Meadowlark Yellow fastback, but it has been restored into a more sinister machine. The black paint has a huge shine that showcases the '69's curvy body while reminding you of its darker side, which works perfectly on this car. In fact, take a closer look at how the glossy black paintwork is contrasted by the matte black hood stripe, hood scoop, front air dam, rear winnow slats, and rear spoiler. This double-black appearance is a very cool presentation that instantly gets respect no matter if it's lit by sunlight or midnight neon. But it isn't just the dark elements that add the aggressive attitude. Hood pins, mirror chrome bumpers & trim, iconic Torq Thrust wheels are bright intimidation. Plus, everyone loves the subtle but bright Mach 1 stripe appropriate for this year's Mustang.

The forceful attitude continues with an all-black interior. From the door panels, to the seats, to the center console, to the dash, everything in this Mustang looks like midnight. But Ford also was going for a premium attitude during this time, that's why the darkness is broken up by wood paneling on all of these surfaces, too. This is setup nicely for the driver with a T-bar shifter for your right hand, and the factory-style three-spoke steering wheel for your left one. Beyond that is a nice set of gauges to monitor the essentials. But passengers won't feel like an afterthought thanks to an AM/FM stereo with an aux hookup for your iPod and comfortable air conditioning.

The 351 cubic-inch Windsor motor look fantastic in the engine bay with the big blue block, matching air topper, and the Cobra valve covers with fins that seem to go nicely with the shaker hood scoop. And there's a very good reason for why this all looks so new. We'll show you the full receipt for the complete engine rebuild completed on 7/27 by Chuck's Performance Engines (a former Petty employee, NASCAR still trusts them with their performance V8s.) It includes all the right procedures you want, including magnafluxed block, three-angle valve job, and an upgrade to a four-barrel carburetor. There are so few miles on the rebuilt V8 that we will also hand you breaking-in instructions with the purchase. This motor has the reliability you love to see in a classic, and the V8 fires up with authority thanks to the rumbling dual exhaust. You'll love showing off this midnight coupe everywhere thanks to easy driving features such as power steering, three-speed automatic transmission, and modern Bridgestone tires.

A clean and mean appearance backed up by a reliable, rebuilt heart. All the hard work is done. Now all you have to do is be the first one to get here and turn the key. Call now!!
