I have been working on rebuilding this GOLD 1978 Firebird Trans
Am for the last 13 years.
It has a rebuilt Pontiac 400 (not Olds 403) engine with 11k miles on it. Also has a Hurst 4-speed (aka-4 on the floor) shifter. The transmission and rear end were just rebuilt last year with a Center Force clutch added. Two years ago the brake system was completely redone from the stainless steel lines, down to the rotors. I have recently licensed and registered it in California. It was a quite a process, because it was from a different state (WI originally, then TX).
Done: -entirely new brake system down to the stainless steel lines.
-Flowmaster exhaust system made to look stock, with Hedman street legal headers.
-rebuilt engine (with receipts) and Edelbrock intake, carb, etc.
-powder coated honeycomb rims with brand new TA tires. It was just had two panels replaced and was completely repainted. Including the rims to match. The body shop took the car apart and painted it piece by piece. It was amazing.
