GT500 with a 4-Speed manual transmission. These cars were rated at
360 horsepower, but are believed to be conservative for insurance
purposes. One of 1,140 made in 1968, this rare Shelby is in
excellent condition and is featured in the original color
combination of Highland Green with a Saddle interior. It is
believed to have 49,893 miles and all original sheet-metal with no
repairs made. This particular car has been repainted to a very high
quality and has its factory original interior. The engine block is
believed to have been replaced in the early 70s with a factory
replacement block. Factory options include Extra cooling package,
Visibility group, Wheel lip moldings, Sport deck rear seat, Power
steering, Power front disc brakes, Tilt-away steering column, AM
radio, Interior dcor group, and a heavy duty battery. According to
the Marti Report, this car was built at Metuchen on 12/14/1967 and
sold on 9/28/1968 at Jerry Alderman Ford in Indianapolis, IN. The
condition of this Shelby is superb and would make a great addition
to any collection.
