For sale by owner is this great looking Gazelle Mercedes SSK
replica. The following is a detailed breakdown of the built by the
owner.
I began building this car in the late summer of 1986 and completed
it in the mid-summer of 1987. It look eleven and a half months to
complete (that was working on it every day) and be ready to be
driven anywhere. It was inspected by the Secretary of State in
Illinois, passed inspection and they assigned a VIN number and
plate to the car so that license and insurance could be purchased.
I purchased a 1978 Mustang II for most of the necessary parts such
as the engine etc. The following is a list of what was taken from
the Mustang.
Complete Engine w/ mounts & brackets (before assembling the car I
checked the engine out and found a problem with it and had to buy a
new short block because 2 of the piston walls were scorched so
because of that I completely rebuilt the engine so as not to have
any problems with it in the future.

saved was too big to fit)
