Vehicle Description
This 1965 911 was delivered in September of that year to its original owner George Giusti in New Jersey. Delivery documents show the car had a few scratches upon its arrival to the dealership. The ivory color couldn't be matched properly, so Porsche repainted the entire car before delivery.
The owner was meticulous and wrote notes of all the work done. He could also write very small, as those notes are written in the margins on the tabs in the service book. All work performed, mileage at time of service are clearly noted, through 1981 when the car was parked for its summer duty.
The 2 layers of paint was starting to fail and in need of attention. George then decided to have the car completely stripped to bare metal, and had this rare 911 given the paint job it deserved. This unrestored 911 is a very special car, having only been repainted and nothing else. The engine has recently been serviced by Dieter Inzenhofer of Andial fame and is as smooth and tight as a 32,000 mile car should be. This 911 has been featured both on the cover of Panorama and inside Excellence magazines. Petrolicious has a great video on the car.
