This Oldsmobile 98 Convertible will ride with the wind, be open to the sun and thrill with a “wide-stance” ride that Pontiac assured was the smoothest on the road in period. The Starfire prefix was added to all 98 models, not just the convertible models as in previous years. Despite the fact that this was Oldsmobile’s most expensive model ($3,838 before options), the Starfire 98 convertible was the division’s most popular open car with 8,278 similar cars made in 1957.
Powered by a Rocket V-8 engine with automatic transmission, this black 98 has a delightful tri-color interior in red, white and black, plus a white power-operated top.
