For Sale: 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle in Elyria, Ohio

Vehicle Description

1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Nomad station wagon. LS3 LS3 LS3 LS3.....Did we say LS3?This is an original vin #132358 Nomad wagon, 4930 produced with a V-8 in 1968 assembled in Kansas City. Yeah, I know four door Nomad, well they made it. Trim tag: butternut yellow with saddle interior. In 2014, the previous Ohio owner had enough of the 327 and after owning it for ten years, he had professionally installed a new Corvette 6.2L LS3 430hp crate engine from Karl Chevrolet and paired it with a Tremec GM TKO 600 5 speed transmission. We were told this original Nomad started out in California, moved to Wyoming, Nevada, New York , PA (2001) and then finally Ohio in 2004. We have a physical paper trail of Wyoming, Nevada, New York, Pa and finally Ohio. The car runs and drives fantastic, dyno sheets (included ) state 456 hp, 458 torque to the rear wheels.The cost for dyno and set-up was $800. It was a favorite at all the local shows, currently badged a 327, NOW a perfect "sleeper" not excessively loud with new , dual Magnaflow mufflers , complete new dual exhaust. A flat out blast to drive.This car is rock solid - exterior and underneath. The body was checked and is all metal. A great near flawless coat of paint, factory 'YY' on the trim tag , butternut yellow, has held up well. Doors open easily and close with a solid sound. The original looking cloth and vinyl interior is very clean, newer carpet, door panels and thresholds, complete the interior. All windows including the rear tailgate work flawlessly. Tinted Glass finishes the exterior. Front disc and rear drum brakes.This Chevelle wagon has over $30,000 in receipts in a folder included with the car. Receipts such as: Dakota Digital gauges $621 , installed in 2012, .New Vintage Air parts from San Antonio , Texas installed in 2007 , Billet hood Hinges $675, new steering gear, power steering hose kit $925. , rear end is a posi, 3.73 gears. The Chevelle was completely rewired front to back by American Wire, New Ridetech coil over front shocks.
