Up for sale we have a 1957 Chevy Bel Air Convertible. This is a
well done restoration being put back to the stock style. The power
comes from a stock 283 V8 with the Power Glide Trans. In the
paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the
exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would
like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee.
We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no
consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You
can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a
big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So,
that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us
for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at
(865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Bel Air. The body panels
are straight with good lines. All the side stainless looks to have
either been replaced or cleaned and polished. When you look at the
chrome it all looks new as does the top trim. Also, all the trim
around the glass looks like new. All the glass was removed at the
time of the build with new seals and weather stripping installed.
This '57 has the dual antennas and the rear bumper guards. This Bel
Air is done in the Tropical Turquoise that's accented by the White
Convertible Top. The paint has been upgraded to the base coat clear
coat. It has a slick finish and looks good in the jams and in the
trunk. To finish off the exterior it's sitting on a set of wide
whites with the painted steel rims and full size hub caps.
Next, we will take a look at the interior of the '57. On the inside
it's done in the two tone Ivory and Medium Turquoise color scheme.
It has the stock style door panels that are in great condition
along with the trim. Also, the dash all looks stock with the
factory AM Radio and painted in the body color. All the dash trim
and bezels are in great condition as well. The steering column and
wheel is also correct.
Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under
the hood it looks like it would have back in '57 with a stock 283
V8 and 2 Barrel carb. It's dressed with painted valve covers and
stock style breather. The trans is a Power Glide with a stock style
Rear End. When you look under the hood the inner fenders and
firewall all look correct. The exhaust flows thru stock manifolds
and stainless dual exhaust. This '57 retains the factory Four Wheel
Drum Brakes and Standard Steering. Looking under it the pans were
replaced along with new braces. It has new fuel lines with a new
tank. Also, the brake lines were replaced and floors have been
painted black.
