The contours were smoothed out, the side windows were curved and the grille and bumper got new treatment as well. The “flying buttress” rooflines were part of the ’66 models. The “Coke bottle” body shape reflected the popular fad of American car design in the mid ‘60s. Chevelles continued in 300, 300 Deluxe and Malibu trim. Motors included 327 and 283. Other features included tachometers, mag-styled wheels and metallic brakes. Four-way power seats, cruise control and a tissue dispenser came optional.
