non-sunroof coupe. COA confirms numbers-matching engine
transmission and correct original color of Bahama Yellow. Believed
to be a three-owner California and Georgia car. Second owner bought
the car in 1986 in California and drove it to Georgia then put the
car into dry storage in the mid-1990s. Current owner acquired the
car privately a few years ago and just completed a thorough but
sympathetic restoration. Now offered to the public for the first
time in 30 years.Concours-quality paint in stunning Bahama Yellow;
chrome and trim are original and show minor patina. The car was
restored with the goal to preserve as many original features and
materials as possible. Complete set of five date-matched 4.5x15
Fuchs beautifully refinished by Al Reed.Interior shows well with
dash gauges steering wheel door panels headliner rear seats and
carpet in very good original condition showing minor patina but no
excessive wear. Front seats reupholstered in leather.Nicely
detailed engine compartment looks "like jewelry" as one Porsche
enthusiast friend remarked upon seeing it.� Original
numbers-matching 2.0 rebuilt by a well-known master Porsche
mechanic in Atlanta running correct Weber 40 IDS carbs restored by
Parts Klassik. Rebuilt brakes new Koni shocks new Vredstein Sprint
Classics. Original 901/02 five-speed gearbox with new clutch and
new shifter bushings. Runs and drives beautifully just as an early
S should.A very correct example in a highly desirable color for the
